The falling Japanese Nakajima B5N2 Kate torpedo bomber was captured by the shooter of the naval PB4Y Liberator bomber over the sea near Truk.
In the back cockpit of Nakajima B5N2 Kate there is a gunner of a torpedo bomber who, according to the Liberator pilot Lieutenant Commander William Janeshek, first tried to get out of the burning plane, then suddenly came back, sat down on his seat and died along with the plane.
