Malmedy Massacre

 

Black American soldiers carry on a stretcher the body of a paratrooper killed in the Malmedy massacre.

Malmedy massacre:

On December 17, 1944, in the Baugnez suburb of the Belgian city of Malmedy, at the crossroads, soldiers of the mobile SS detachment under the command of Joachim Peiper shot 86 American prisoners of war captured shortly before.
