Damaged English Salamander minesweeper (HMS Salamander) in Portsmouth and Canadian Port Arthur corvette.

The Salamander minesweeper of the Halcyon type is built on J.S. White shipyard in 1936. On August 27, 1944, the HMS Salamander was mistakenly badly damaged by British aircraft off the coast of Normandy, towed to Portsmouth, was not restored and was expelled from the fleet in 1945.
