Soviet partisans (Soviet Resistance Movement) – an integral part of the anti-fascist Resistance movement, which fought by the methods of guerrilla warfare with Nazi Germany and its allies in the occupied territories of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War. The Soviet partisans movement was coordinated and controlled by the organs of Soviet power and was developed on the model of the Red Army. The main objective of the guerrilla war was the destruction of the support system of the German front – the disruption of communications and communications, the operation of its automobile and railway communications (the so-called “Rail War”), etc.
