Sd.Kfz 10/4

German soldiers on a 20-mm Sd.Kfz 10/4 anti-aircraft self-propelled gun (2cm Flak 30 auf Fahrgestell Zugkraftwagen 1t Sd.Kfz 10/4) of the Nazi Wehrmacht on the road to the USSR. Eastern Front, World War II in Europe.
The Sd.Kfz 10/4 was armed with a 20 mm Flak 30 cannon (from 1941 – Flak 38), which was mounted on a cargo platform on its standard carriage – a triangular base with three coulters. Initially, the gun was a quick-detachable one: it could be removed from the chassis or installed back by crew forces. For this, special guides were included in the anti-aircraft self-propelled gun kit, and two blocks were installed in the upper corners of the front wall of the cargo platform. The hoisting of the anti-aircraft guns on the platform required the efforts of five people: two pulled the cables wound on the blocks, one more pushed the gun from behind. A trained team completed this procedure in 20 seconds. However, subsequently, guides and blocks were abandoned: practice has shown that the need to remove anti-aircraft guns from the chassis occurs infrequently.
