On the victim’s hand a deep burn from phosphorus. The experiment was to burn a mixture of phosphorus and rubber on the skin of a living person. Twenty seconds later, the burning was stopped and the wound was treated with echinacin or other substances in order to determine their healing properties. This photograph, taken by a concentration camp doctor, served as material evidence during the Nürnberg trial of the Nazi criminals.

The Nazi medical experiment photo was taken in the Ravensbruck concentration camp.
In Rovensbrück, at least 86 prisoners were subjected to medical experiments, 74 of whom were Polish.
