Soveit Lieutenant Dmitry Sergeevich Folomeev (1913-1954) is the commander of a platoon of the 306th Tank Battalion of the 106th Tank Brigade of the 12th Tank Corps of the 3rd Tank Army of the Voronezh front of the Red Army.
Dmitry Folomeev fought in 1942 on the T-70 light tank, since 1943 – on the T-34 medium tank. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 21, 1943 he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal (No. 1020).
Dmitry Folomeev was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner (March 7, 1945), the medal “For Courage” (September 7, 1942).
