railway tunnel in the Carpathians

 

Opening of the way through the restored railway tunnel (1750 meters) in the Carpathians.
The railway tunnel was damaged during the retreat by the Nazis, but with the help of all the railways of the Soviet Union it was restored in just two years and began to function fully in 1946.
