Max Blokzijl

 

Former Dutch occupation radio announcer Max Blokzijl (Marius Hugh Louis Wilhelm Blokzijl, 1884-1946) being interrogated after the liberation of the Netherlands from Nazi occupation.
Max Blokzijl joined the Dutch National Socialist Party (NSB) in 1935. A journalist by profession, he was the head of the propaganda department and an announcer of the occupation radio. Executed by court verdict on March 16, 1946.
