Soviet biplane U-2 “Kazan Komsomolets”, transferred by members of the Komsomol members of Kazan to the 930th aviation regiment of the Red Army Air Force. 1942.
In August 1942 Komsomol members of Tataria purchased six U2 (Po-2) planes with their own money and donated them to 930 near-bomber air regiment. The U-2 planes carried the names “Kazan Komsomolets”, “Komsomolets of Tataria”, “Pioneer of Tataria”, “Kzyl Tatarstan” and “Zelenodolsk Komsomolets”.
