Firing position of the French heavy 240-mm cannon of the St Chamond concern, model 84/17, and a German officer during the Second World War.
Several copies of these guns were used in the campaign of 1940, all of them were captured by the Wehrmacht and under the designation 24 cm gun K.556 (f) were used in the coastal defense system of the Atlantic Wall.
