This is the first public execution in the Nazi-occupied territories, on the day in Minsk at the plant arch hanged 12 Soviet underground fighters, helped the wounded Red Army to escape from captivity. The first public execution carried out by volunteers of the 2nd Battalion of the auxiliary police service from Lithuania, commanded by Maj. Antanas Impulevičius.
