Wounded American motor machinist’s mate first class Robert J. Croak aboard Spencer US Coast Guard ship (USCGC Spencer).

Robert J. Croak injuries were sustained as a result of friendly fire from merchant ships of the HX-233 maritime convoy during the Spencer attack of the U-175 submarine.
