Republic P-47 Thunderbolt – fighter-bomber of the Second World War, the largest single-engine fighter of those times. He was one of the main fighters of the US Air Force during the war, especially well served as an aircraft-attack aircraft. Thanks to the radial engine and the protected petrol tanks was distinguished by high survivability. By the end of the war, the P-47 was the most massive US fighter, and was also supplied to the USSR by lend-lease.
