The leading units of the Nazi Wehrmacht enter the city of Goldap in East Prussia, which was previously captured by the Red Army.
The picture was taken in the center of the city by a war correspondent Rudolf Hermann from the roof of the StuG III assault gun, one of the first Wehrmacht units to break into the city from Reichstrasse 132.
