Viktor Bashkirov

Viktor Bashkirov (November 27, 1920 – July 27, 1991) fought on the Soviet-Geran front from September 1941.
In total, during the war years, he performed 281 sorties, conducted 35 air battles, in which he shot down 19 enemy aircraft (according to other sources, he won 14 victories personally and 2 in a group).
By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 4, 1944, for courage and heroism shown in air battles against the Nazi invaders, Captain Viktor Bashkirov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 3233).
