The snow-covered body of Valentina Polyakova, the Soviet teacher from the Kryukovo secondary school, who was shot by the Nazis on December 1, 1941 in the school garden.
Valentina Polyakova was 27 years old, she taught Russian to children.
After the Red Army liberation of the village of Kryukovo, Valentin Polyakov was buried near the school gate, and later she was reburied at the Andreevsky cemetery. Local residents still remember her and take care of her grave.
