Elephant assault gun

Two destroyed Elephant assault gun (Ferdinand) of the Headquarters Company of the 654 Heavy Battalion of the Nazi Wehrmacht. The Battle of Kursk, Region Ponyri station, 15-16 July 1943. Eastern Front, the Second World War.

Left is HQ Elephant assault gun Number II-03.

Elephant assault gun was burned by bottles filled with kerosene mixture after anti-tank shells in her damaged chassis.
