Battle of Britain: The British are photographed near the wreckage of the German Messerschmitt BF.109E fighter aircraft of the Nazi Luftwaffe, shot down and fallen in Wickham Street.
Messerschmitt BF.109E the Luftwaffe fighter under the command of Lieutenant Albert Friedmann was shot down over London by a pilot of the 79th RAF squadron Brian Draper on October 20, 1940. The German pilot managed to leave the falling plane, but died.
