Raising the Japanese national flag “Hinomaru” over the Aleutian Islands.

July 18, 1942, Japanese troops landed on the American islands Kiska, Attu and Agattu in the Aleutian archipelago. These islands became the only part of the United States of America, captured during the Second World War.
