Battle of the Atlantic: Triumphant return of the British Exeter heavy cruiser (HMS Exeter) to Plymouth soon after the battle of La Plata.

As a result of the battle against the German Admiral Graf Spee, the pocket battleship of December 13, 1939, the Exeter cruiser suffered heavy damage. Thanks to the active and decisive actions of the light cruisers (the British squadron also consisted of the Ajax light cruiser (HMS Ajax) and Achilles (HMNZS Achilles) was able to get out of battle. The Exeter cruiser was captured after a series of repair works.
