Grigory Grigoryevich Lyadov – participant of the Great Patriotic War from October 1941. During the Battle for Moscow, made 18 sorties for assault operations, destroyed up to twenty vehicles, 6-7 tanks, 3 anti-aircraft guns of the enemy.
After the conversion of the regiment into reconnaissance by April 1944, Grigory Lyadov will make 115 sorties on the Pe-2 airplane for long-range and near-field reconnaissance, in air battles the crew of Liadov Grigory will destroy two German fighters.
May 31, 1944, Captain Grigory Liadov perished in an air battle. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 26, 1944, for exemplary fulfillment of combat assignments of the command and courage and heroism shown to Captain Liadov, he will be posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
