The KV-2 tank

The Soviet heavy tank KV-2 from the 1st Tank Division of the Leningrad Front of the Red Army destroyed under the Thaitsy.
Initially, this heavy tank belonged to another division of the Red Army and was taken to Leningrad for repairs. During the renovation, additional armor strips were added to protect the turret and hatch in the control compartment. Additional tanks for fuels and lubricants were installed on the fenders.

After repairs, this KV-2 ended up in the 1st Panzer Division of the Leningrad Front and was lost in mid-September 1941 near Taitsy. It was restored by the Nazis and was used for some time in the Pz.Kw.Zug 269 from the 269th Infantry Division from Heeresgruppe Nord.

On the turret of the KV-2 tank, the boots of a German officer standing on it are visible. At the edge of the tower is a Soviet 152-mm artillery shell OF-530.
