The icing of the guns of the main caliber of the English Belfast light cruiser (HMS Belfast) during an operation to escort a naval convoy to the USSR in the North Atlantic.

The Belfast light cruiser is an enlarged version of the Gloucester cruisers.
Belfast light cruiser – construction started on December 10, 1936 at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, launched on March 17, 1938, put into operation on August 5, 1939.
During the Second World War, the Belfast light cruiser participated in the Allied Northern Convoys to the USSR, in a battle against the German battleship Scharnhorst.

Belfast light cruiser withdrawn from service on August 24, 1963. Currently stored as a museum ship in London.
