The death of the B-17 bomber

The death of the American Boeing B-17G Wee Willie Flying Fortress heavy bomber number 42-31333 from 322 Squadron, 91 th Air Group of the US Air Force.

The B17 Flying Fortress bomber (commander Lieutenant Robert Fuller) during its 128th combat flight was shot down by flak over the German territory (city Stendhal) and 8 April 1945 and the first collapsed and then exploded in the air. Of the 10 crew members were miraculously saved two: a pilot and rear gunner.
