The captured pilots of the German crew from first Luftwaffe bomber, shot down in the Battle of Britain. The Western Front of the Third Reich during World War II in Europe.
The Nazi Heinkel He-111H medium bomber from the KG26 Luftwaffe Bomb Squadron with the tail number 5449 was the first German bomber aircraft shot down by the Spitfire fighters over the British Isles and made an emergency landing at Lammermoor Hills near Edinburgh city on October 28, 1939. German pilots of the it bomber crew were captured by British Forces.
