The balloon barrage

 

Moscow Anti-aircraft Defense balloon barrage at the Revolution Square of the city during Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union.

The balloon barrage of the Red Army anti-aircraft defense were widely used in air defense as barriers: fear of collision with cables and a covering balloons, German planes were forced to climb higher, which reduces the accuracy of the bombing.
