Crossing the Oder river. On it stands a Soviet traffic controller from the 34th separate road maintenance battalion of the 5th Guards Army, senior sergeant Emelyan Semenovich Lozovoy (born 1893), a participant in the Civil War in Soviet Russia (in 1919-1922) and the Great Patriotic War (since August 1941). On June 19, 1945 Emelyan Lozovoy was awarded the Medal “For Military Merit”.
