Soviet T-35 heavy tank

 

German soldiers of the Nazi Wehrmacht visiting the Soviet T-35 heavy tank from the Armored Forces of the Red Army, destroyed on the highway Verba village – Ptichye village (Ukraine). Two white stripes on the T-35 turrets are the tactical mark of the 67th Panzer Regiment of the 34th Panzer Division of the 8th Mechanized Corps of the Southwestern Front. T-35 tank produced in 1937, serial number No. 988-16. Extract from the act of writing off a heavy tank: “No. 988-16 was destroyed and burned down during the attack in the village of Ptichye on June 30, 1941.”

The T-35 tank in the photograph, compared to the first shot, is shifted to the side of the highway. An inscription “So endete eine Liebe” was added on board the T-35 tank (translated from German as “Love ended so”, this is the name of the German movie of 1934).
