The submarine S-9 from the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union made 5 military campaigns during which 2 ships were damaged. The S-9 submarine left on its last trip on July 30, 1943. According to one version, the cause of the S-9’s death was an explosion in a mine of the German Nashorn barrage on August 14-15, 1943, and on the other, the submarine sank on August 15, 1943 as a result of an attack by the Finnish Visco escort ship.
