Kolegaev’s unit in one of the battles destroyed 25 tanks of the Nazi Panzerwaffe.
Lieutenant V. Ya Kolegaev was taken prisoner in July 1941, was released in 1945. After the war he moved to the city of Belgorod, where he died in 1965.
