Naval parade of the Japanese Imperial Navy, dedicated to the 2 600 anniversary of the accession to the throne of Emperor Jimmu. 98 fighting and auxiliary ships appeared before Emperor Hirohito, many of them were first presented to the public.
The Japanese Imperial Navy photo was taken from the stern of the heavy cruiser “Kako” with the Furutaka cruiser marching in the wake system while passing along the lined ships as part of the battleship “Hiei” on which the emperor was stationed. In the column from left to right are heavy cruisers: “Chikuma”, “Tone”, “Mogami”, “Suzuya” and “Kumano”.
