Russian sailors of the torpedo boat of the Northern Navy of the USSR put a smoke screen in the Barents Sea of the Arctic.
One of the Russian sailors manually opens the sea smoke bomb (MDSh), of the other two smoke blocks there is already thick smoke.
The sea smoke bomb (MDSh) was put into service in 1935, intended for ships without stationary smoke equipment, and ensured the creation of a smoke screen 350 meters long and 17 meters high. A solid smoke mixture based on ammonia and anthracene was used as a smoke generator.
