Soviet sailors from the Red Navy of the first battery (also known as battery No. 811) of the 81st Separate Anti-Aircraft Artillery Air Defense Division of the White Sea naval flotilla. This anti-aircraft battery was deployed in the city of Molotovsk (now Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region) on the island of Yagry.

Among the Soviet sailors there are women (including a female officer). Women in the air defense divisions performed the duties of signalmen, gunners and adjusters of anti-aircraft gun control devices, artillery reconnaissance and range finders.
