Russian infantry of the 2nd Guards Taman Division of the Red Army in liberated Kerch city, Crimea, Ukraine, USSR. Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union (1941 – 1945).

Russian infantry began crossing through the Kerch Strait after fleeing the Wehrmacht from the Taman Peninsula in the October 31, 1943. April 11, 1944 Kerch city was finally liberated from the occupiers as a result of the landing operation.

The Eastern Front of the German Wehrmacht of the Third Reich during the Second World War in Europe.
