Assumption Cathedral

 

Ruins of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which was blown up in the November 3, 1941, during the German occupation of the capital of Ukraine the Kiev city.

There are several versions of the causes of the explosion of the Assumption Cathedral: the explosion of the Nazis or partisans or NKVD. In the late 1990s, the Assumption Cathedral was rebuilt.
