IAR 80 – Romanian fighter, fighter-bomber of the Second World War. The first serial fighter of the Romanian design. It was an all-metal monoplane with a closed cockpit and retractable landing gear with a tail wheel. Designed under the leadership of Ion Grosu in the design office of the firm IAR. The first flight of IAR 80 was made on April 12, 1939.
