The head of the Imperial Security Directorate General, Deputy Imperial Protector of Bohemia and Moravia, SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich examines the crown of St. Wenceslas in Prague’s St. Vitus Cathedral.
There is a tradition that the one who puts on this crown without having the right will be damned or killed. It may be just a coincidence, but Reinhard Heydrich was indeed killed by Czech patriots a few days after he tried on this crown from vanity.
The man to the right of Reinhard Heydrich is Emil Hácha, president of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
