Refueling of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf.109 E-4/B from JG54 (54th fighter squadron). Messerschmitt Bf.109 belonged to Oberleutnant Peter-Paul Steindl from the headquarters of II./JG54 (2nd squadron group) of the Luftwaffe.
The emblem in the front of the fuselage is the coat of arms of Aspern, the district of the city of Vienna (a lion with open jaws on a yellow background at the top, a flag with a white cross on the red background below), which was the emblem of the 2nd group.
