Refueling of the German Messerschmitt Bf.109 E-4/B fighter aircraft from JG54 (54th fighter squadron) of the Nazi Luftwaffe. Messerschmitt Bf.109 belonged to Oberleutnant Peter-Paul Steindl from the headquarters of II./JG54 (2nd squadron group) of the Luftwaffe.
The emblem in the front of the Messerschmitt Bf.109 E-4/B fuselage is the coat of arms of Aspern, the district of the city of Vienna (a lion with open jaws on a yellow background at the top, a flag with a white cross on the red background below), which was the emblem of the 2nd group.
