The first on the right in the top row of the Red Army artillery soldiers: Vladimir Efimovich Frumson (1925-2010) was enlisted in the Leningrad Air Defense Army of the 192th anti-aircraft artillery regiment that operated from June 22, 1941 to May 18, 1944, later reorganized into the 48th antiaircraft artillery brigade.
Combat way Vladimir Frumson began in January 1943 in the Pulkovo Heights area as part of a team of 85-mm antiaircraft guns. This sector of the front was of special strategic importance in the defense of Leningrad, since the front line passed precisely through the Pulkovo heights. The 192th anti-aircraft artillery regiment took an active part in the battle for Leningrad in 1941-1944, covered the troops of the Leningrad front during the operation to break through the siege of Leningrad and the Vyborg operation in 1944.
Private soldier Vladimir Frumson was wounded during the fighting. The fighting way ended in Estonia.
