Pz Kpfw IV

Tankers of the 1st Bulgarian Army captured the German medium tanks Pz Kpfw IV Ausf. H into the Drava River region, Hungary during Second World War. 1st Bulgarian army fought in close cooperation with the troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, supplies and rearming in the USSR.

Since December 1944 the 1st Bulgarian army was on the left wing of the 3rd Ukrainian Front.
In March 1945 she took part in heavy fighting Operation Spring Awakening, from 6 to 19 March 1945 with the support of Soviet troops repulsed attack of superior forces of the Germans, kept their positions, not allowing the opponent to go to the rear of the 3rd Ukrainian Front.
