Private Joseph De Freitos from the 41st Infantry Regiment of the 2nd American Armored Division warms cans with canned food on an individual burner.
Private Joseph De Freitos is dressed in the Two-pieces herringbone twill camouflage (HBT) worn by Marines in the Pacific theater of operations, but in Europe it was quickly abandoned because of its strong resemblance to the camouflage of the SS troops.
