On the Crimean front, the regiment operated since January 1942. In mid-April 1942 withdrawn to the rear for reorganization. Launched with LaGG-3 pilots. In the period July 16, 1942 – August 3, 1942 acted as part of the 229th Fighter Air Division on the Southern Front.
