Soviet fighter pilot Konstantin Kryukov (June 8, 1922 – January 20, 1979) from the 12th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Red Army Air Force at the MiG-3 fighter.
During the war, Konstantin Kryukov flew more than 300 sorties, in which he shot down 11 enemy bombers and 4 enemy fighters personally and 11 in a group. He flew fighters MiG-3, Yak-1, Yak-9. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 29, 1944, for the exemplary fulfillment of combat missions of the command on the front of the struggle against the Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism of the guards shown at the same time, Senior Lieutenant Konstantin Alekseevich Kryukov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the medal ” Gold Star “(No. 3177).
