The Soviet officers of the 13th Motorized Rifle Division of the Internal Troops of the NKVD on the day of the transfer to the Red Army (the division was renamed the 95th Infantry Division).
The first from the left in the second row is the border guard, the captain of the NKVD, Ivan Kuzmich Kalmykov, the commander of the 1st Rifle Battalion. He died in the Battle of Stalingrad on December 5, 1942, as commander of the 241st regiment of the 95th Infantry Division.
