Oberleutnant Georg Schentke at the Pitomnik airfield, at the Battle of Stalingrad.
Georg Schentke was shot down by antiaircraft artillery on December 25, 1942 in the area of Stalingrad. At that time on his personal account there were 90 downed planes. After jumping with a parachute, Georg Schentke landed in the location of Russian troops, where he was beaten to death by the captured infantry of the Red Army.
