Norwegian sailors freed from captivity after the sinking of the German Ramses Raider stand with officers of the Australian “Adelaide” light cruiser (HMAS Adelaide).

On the Norwegian sailors photo on the right is the commander of the cruiser “Adelaide” Captain James Esdaile (James Claude Durie Esdaile).
The title “Captain” in the Australian Navy corresponds to the title of the Soviet “Captain of the 1st Rank”.
