Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, died on the 12th of April 1945 from a cerebral hemorrhage in Warm Springs, Georgia.
April 14 at 9.50 am the train delivered the coffin of Franklin Roosevelt to Washington. At the railway station, the coffin of the Roosevelt was put on a gun carriage, covered with a star-striped flag, and the seven gray horses took it along the streets crowded with people (according to police, up to 400 thousand people were present) to the White House for the farewell ceremony.
