Mikhail Katukov (September 17, 1900, Bolshoe Uvarovo, Moscow province, Russian Empire – June 8, 1976, Moscow, USSR) is a Soviet military figure, marshal of armored forces (October 5, 1959), twice Hero of the Soviet Union (September 23, 1944; 6 April 1945).
