M4A4 Sherman (Sherman M4A4 Firefly) of the 27th Canadian Tank Regiment ( “Sherbrooke Fusiliers”) moves down the street in the French city of Caen Basse-Normandie, during “Operation Overlord“. The Western Front of the Second World War.

Sherman Firefly is a tanks M4A1 and M4A4 British and Canadian army, rearming to the “17-pound” (76.2 mm) anti-tank gun. Sherman IIC (based on the M4A1) and Sherman VC (on the basis of M4A4). 17-pound cannon mounted in a conventional tower, a mask specially designed for this weapon.
